A researcher from the College of Agriculture publishes a scientific paper in a globally indexed journal.

Engineer Hussam Abdul Ibrahim, a staff member of the College of Agriculture at the University of Diyala, has published a significant scientific research paper in the International Journal on Advanced Science, Engineering and Information Technology, a globally indexed journal, in Volume (15), Issue (3) for the year 2025.
The paper is entitled:
“Enhancing Efficiency and Sustainability: Converting Simple Cycle Gas Stations to Combined Cycle in Iraq.”
The study highlights one of the most pressing challenges facing Iraq’s energy sector, examining the feasibility of converting simple-cycle gas power plants into combined-cycle systems with the aim of increasing production efficiency, reducing emissions, and enhancing sustainability.
Furthermore, the research discusses scientific solutions that can contribute to improving the thermal performance of gas turbines and utilizing waste heat to generate additional power, in alignment with the directives of the Ministry of Electricity and national visions for developing the energy system and supporting sustainable development.
