The Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Diyala, Professor Dr. Raed Ibrahim Khalil, inaugurated— in the presence of the esteemed members of the College Council— the Student Cultural Festival organized by our College under the slogan: “Agriculture Inspires, and Art Flourishes.” The event was held in a celebratory atmosphere that brought together scientific creativity, agricultural output, and arts connected to the environment and rural life.

In his address on the occasion, the Dean affirmed that this festival represents an important milestone for showcasing the College’s efforts in promoting agricultural culture and supporting student creativity. He noted that the College of Agriculture continues to advance initiatives that link academic knowledge with practical application and serve the agricultural sector in alignment with the requirements of sustainable development.

The festival’s activities included an extensive exhibition in which the College’s departments presented a wide array of their agricultural and scientific products, including:

– Samples of crops and plant production.
– Products of livestock and poultry.
– Exhibits from food and dairy industries.
– Projects by students of horticulture and landscape engineering.
– Research innovations and modern agricultural applications.

The exhibition also featured artistic sections where students presented paintings and works expressing the connection between agriculture, art, and creativity.

The festival included presentations introducing students’ projects and applied research, in addition to cultural and artistic activities aimed at raising awareness of the importance of sustainable agriculture and the preservation of natural resources. The scientific departments also contributed with informative activities highlighting their roles and their educational and research outputs.

The festival received remarkable engagement from visitors, students, and faculty members, who commended the level of organization and the efforts exerted to ensure the success of this academic event. At the conclusion of the activities, participants and distinguished departments were honored in recognition of their contributions to the success of the festival.
