A faculty member from the College of Agriculture has authored a new book
Professor Dr. Ghaleb Nasser Al-Shammari, a faculty member at the College of Agriculture at the University of Diyala, in collaboration with Dr. Intisar Mohammed Al-Jubawi, has authored a new book titled “Measurement of Morphological and Chemical Characteristics of Plant Samples.” This book serves as a specialized guide for graduate students and researchers in agricultural colleges, comprising seven chapters covering various aspects.
The chapters include an overview of laboratory tools, the methodology for collecting field samples and their morphological (descriptive) measurements, the chemical methods for analyzing these samples in the laboratory, the instruments used in the analysis, details about the chemical solutions utilized in the analyses and their preparation, measurements of important crop traits, and the final chapter delves into plant enzymes and their laboratory measurement methods.
