A visit by the ministerial committee

The ministerial committee affiliated with the Directorate of Research and Development in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research visited the College of Agriculture at the University of Diyala. The committee was led by Professor Khairallah Musa, accompanied by Dr. Nahla Hamoudi Hussein and Dr. Haidar Juma Kadhim. They were received by the Dean of the College, Professor Raed Ibrahim Khalil. The purpose of the visit was to establish the Iraqi Center for Sugarcane Research under the auspices of the university.

The ministerial committee reviewed the scientific and administrative structure, the academic departments, the required number of research and administrative staff, research directions, and other pertinent details. They also toured the sugarcane crop research station and discussed with the center’s director, Professor Nader Faleh Ali, the research planned for this season and the coming years. The committee expressed their satisfaction and wished the center success in achieving its scientific research mission.
