An awareness seminar was held at the College of Agriculture addressing the reduction of illegal migration

  • Categories News, Uncategorized
  • Date January 27, 2024

As part of the comprehensive national plan to curb illegal migration, the College of Agriculture at Diyala University organized an awareness seminar on the risks of illegal migration and its treatment. The seminar, presented by Assistant teacher Abbas Obaid Ahmed, aimed to acquaint the audience and students with the risks associated with illegal migration and the legal consequences it entails.

The lecturer delved into the political, economic, and social impacts of international migration in Iraq. He also discussed strategies and techniques employed to reduce illegal migration, as well as factors contributing to the success of these efforts.

Key recommendations emerging from the seminar included: identifying the causes and motivations behind illegal secret migration, raising awareness about the risks and negative consequences of such migration, specifying the types and contributions of programs provided by media centers affiliated with the Iraqi Media General Authority to raise awareness about the risks of illegal migration, and defining strategies, tools, and roles for social planning that aid in the success of reducing illegal migration.
