Gardening and Landscaping Department
The Establishment of the Department:
The department of Gardening and Landscaping was established in 2004-2005. When the establishment of the college, it was under the title (Department of Plant Production) and transferred to the (Department of Horticulture) in 2009-2010. In the year 2010-2011, proposed that the name of the department was (gardening and landscaping) by the consensus of the members of the Faculty council on 12/8/2009 .
The goal of the department:
The department aims to graduate agricultural staffs majoring in Gardening and Landscaping in Bachelor degree to supply the directorates of agriculture and the agricultral sections in the province to develop the agriculture, especially Gardening and landscaping, as well as to supply the intermediate staffs in the university and scientific laboratories.
Teaching Staffs :
In the Department of Gardening and Landscaping, there are (24) of teaching staffs, among them (17) of PhDs and (7) of master's degree in different disciplines. (5) of the faculty staff members now are studying for a PhD degree in Iraqi universities. In this Department, there is (9)of teaching staffs have Assistant Professor degree and (5) have teacher degree.
