A research team from the College of Agriculture at the University of Diyala, and the team included Professor Dr. Ammar Talib Dhiyab and Assistant Lecturer Ali Hussein Muhammad, in cooperation with the College of Agricultural Engineering at Saladin University in Erbil, published a scientific research “in the journal (IOP Conf. Series: Earth and Environmental Science) which is classified within Scopus.
The researchers explained that their research entitled:
Adding Sodium Citrate in Water and Effect in Physiological Performance of Broiler Chickens Reared Under High-Density Condition
A study of the effect of adding different concentrations of sodium citrate on the physiological performance of broilers raised at high densities.
The researchers indicated that their study aimed to reduce the stress resulting from increasing broiler rearing densities and thus achieve ideal exploitation of the space inside the hall, which is one of the characteristics of modern breeding.
The researchers stated that their study concluded that adding sodium citrate at concentrations of 1.5 and 3 mg/L led to reducing the physiological stress resulting from increasing the density of raising broiler chickens to 15 and 18 birds/meter.
