The College of Agriculture discusses the effect of water rationing and spraying with ascorbic acid on the growth characteristics of peppers grown under greenhouse conditions.
The College of Agriculture at Diyala University discussed the tagged master thesis (the effect of water rationing and spraying with ascorbic acid and nitrobenzene on the growth and yield characteristics of peppers grown under unheated greenhouse conditions).
The study presented by the student Nour Abdel Rahman Mahmoud included three factors, the first half irrigation and full irrigation, the second three concentrations of ascorbic and the third three concentrations of nitrobenzene.
The study reached several conclusions, including the water rationing led to the economy in the amount of irrigation water needed by the pepper to get the best results in vegetative growth and the result without wasting the amount of irrigation water during the growing season. growth and yield.
The study recommends using the 15-minute time period as the best irrigation period because it gives the best results in addition to reducing the wastage of the actual water needs of pepper, and the possibility of using higher concentrations of nitrobenzene on the pepper crop and under the same conditions, and conducting more studies on the use of nitrobenzene with different concentrations on other crops .
