Assistant Professor Dr. Khalid Ibrahim Mustafa, a faculty member at the College of Agriculture, University of Diyala, participated as a member of the Master’s thesis defense committee at the University of Baghdad.
The thesis, submitted by Ammar Naseef Jasim from the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering, was titled:
“The Role of Humic Acid and Magnesium in Enhancing Growth and Improving the Quantity and Quality of Okra Yield.”
The study aimed to examine the role of humic acid in improving the growth, quantity, and quality of okra yield, as well as the role of magnesium and their combined effect on these aspects.
The research recommended the application of humic acid at a concentration of 3 g/L, which demonstrated a significant impact on most vegetative, floral, qualitative, and yield-related traits of the plant. Additionally, the study suggested the use of foliar spraying with magnesium sulfate to further enhance growth and yield quality.
