A faculty member from the College of Agriculture served as a member of the Master’s thesis defense committee at the University of Baghdad.

Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Ghaidan Zidan, a faculty member at the College of Agriculture, University of Diyala, participated as a member of the Master’s thesis defense committee at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad.
The thesis, submitted by Noor Aidan Hassan from the Department of Agricultural Economics, was titled:
“An Economic Study of the Demand for Table Eggs in Iraq and Forecasting the Required Quantities for the Period 2023–2024.”
The study aimed to estimate the demand function for table eggs and calculate their demand elasticities in Iraq, thereby determining the relative relationship between price and quantity. These findings are intended to aid in planning the quantities of eggs consumed.
The researcher recommended greater attention to the poultry sector, ensuring the necessary means for its development and increasing production levels. Additionally, she emphasized the importance of awareness programs to support table egg production projects and direct focus toward their advancement.
In recognition of his contribution, Dr. Ali Ghaidan Zidan received a letter of appreciation from the Dean of the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad.
