As part of ongoing academic collaboration among Iraqi universities, Professor Dr. Hussein Aziz Mohammed, a faculty member at the College of Agriculture – University of Diyala, chaired the examination committee for a Master’s thesis at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences – University of Baghdad. The thesis, submitted by graduate student Mustafa Ali Adnan, was entitled:
“The Role of Zeolite, Vermicompost, and Biochar in Improving Certain Soil Properties and the Growth and Yield of Sorghum Under Salinity Stress Conditions.”
The defense session was held in a distinguished academic atmosphere, during which the student presented a comprehensive scientific overview of his research findings. Professor Dr. Hussein Aziz enriched the discussion with insightful academic observations that significantly enhanced the intellectual depth of the thesis and guided the researcher toward strengthening the practical applications of the results—particularly in the context of agriculture under challenging environmental conditions.
In recognition of his scientific contributions and active role in evaluating and discussing the thesis, Dr. Hussein Aziz received an official Letter of Appreciation and Commendation from the Dean of the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences – University of Baghdad.
This academic engagement reflects the commitment of the faculty at the College of Agriculture – University of Diyala to fostering inter-university collaboration and promoting research activities that contribute to the advancement of higher education and scientific research in Iraq.
